ALHS students attend state journalism convention, get recognized for publications

- Twenty students, representing The Ahlahasa, Tiger Yearbook, Tiger Vision and I-Mag, attended the 2024 Minnesota State Journalism Convention at the Coffman Memorial building at the University of Minnesota last month. In addition to attending sessions to gain knowledge and skills to help the program grow, each publication also earned awards recognizing the hard work and dedication of ALHS students. Tiger yearbook earned eighth place in Best of Show recognized by the Minnesota High School Press Association for the 2024 yearbook. Tiger yearbook also received an All-State Bronze award recognized by the Journalism Educators of Minnesota for the 2024 yearbook. Ahlahasa newspaper earned an All-State Bronze Award from the Journalism Educators of Minnesota and fourth place in Best of Show through the Minnesota High School Press Association. I-Mag literary magazine received an All-State Silver Award from the Journalism Educators of Minnesota. Provided
