Time capsule from Naeve Hospital to be opened
The community is invited to attend a dedication ceremony Thursday for the new Naeve Garden in front of Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.
The garden, built on the site of the former Naeve Hospital, features a bench crafted from salvaged bricks and cornerstone pieces of the original hospital building, as well as native grasses, trees and plants that the health system hopes will be a reflective place to rest, walk or connect with others.
As part of the ceremony, the time capsule from the Naeve Hospital will be opened.
During the ceremony, the DAISY nursing sculpture will also be dedicated, and there will be recognition of Fountain Centers’ 50th anniversary.
The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. with the dedication and ribbon-cutting at 5:15 p.m.
