As a community, we are fortunate to have Mary Jo Dorman as a candidate for the Albert Lea school board. With the complex issues facing schools today, we need someone with knowledge, experience and an understanding of the needs.
Not only was Mary Jo a teacher for 24 years in Albert Lea, but she spent the last eight years at the district office in curriculum and instructions.
After retiring from teaching for 38 years in other school districts, I subbed in all of the Albert Lea schools, and I served on the curriculum committee under the leadership of Mary Jo. It was while on this committee I appreciated and respected her leadership and commitment to providing the best learning environment for all students.
Mary Jo’s two sons graduated from Albert Lea, and she’ll have two granddaughters that will attend Albert Lea schools. She definitely has a vested interest in the future of Albert Lea school district.
As you go to the polls, please consider what is best for the students in Albert Lea and vote for Mary Jo Dorman!
