1 injured in crash on I-35 north of Albert Lea

A 30-year-old woman was injured Wednesday night when the vehicle she was riding in crashed on an icy portion of Interstate 35 north of Albert Lea.

Jenna Michelle Lee of Dodge Center was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The report stated she was riding in a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek driven by Bryant Austin Door, 28, of Dodge Center.

The Subaru was reportedly traveling southbound on Interstate 35 three miles north of Albert Lea at 8:56 p.m. when the vehicle lost control, hit the guardrail and bounced back toward the median cable barrier.

Dow and a second passenger, Sandra Carleyne Estey, 65, of St. Michael, were not injured.

All occupants were wearing their seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor.

There report stated roads were snowy and icy at the time of the crash.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Clarks Grove Fire Department assisted at the scene.
