A Basketball Night of Fun, a fundraiser for the Orrie Jirele Scholarship, will take place March 7 in the Albert Lea High School gym.

Jirele was a long-time staff member and basketball coach who inspired many students and staff during his time in Albert Lea.

To honor him, there will be student and staff basketball games, a shooting competition, concessions, a half-time performance and more. There will also be a raffle ticket drawing.

The game schedule is as follows:

• Eighth grade versus ninth grade, 6 p.m.
• Tenth grade versus 11th grade, 6 p.m.
• 12th grade versus staff, 7:15 p.m.

This is the second year for the fundraiser.

Cost is $10 to attend.
