The Albert Lea Anglers held their first tournament of the season last month, drawing local anglers eager to test their skills. The event featured two separate stringer categories: crappies and bluegills.
In the crappie category, Drew Cline took first place with an impressive total stringer length of 36 inches, edging out Braylon Moyer, who finished in second with a 31-inch total.
Meanwhile, the bluegill competition saw Curtis Parmenter claiming the top spot with a total stringer length of 41 inches. Andrew Westeng secured second place with 39.25 inches.
A special thank you was extended to Earl Krieger for his generous donation of tip-ups to the team. The equipment will undoubtedly prove useful throughout the season as anglers gear up for future tournaments.
The Albert Lea Anglers are looking forward to more exciting competitions in the months ahead.
