Albert Lea’s Maggie Olson went 4-0 Saturday to win her third section title and a ticket to the girls state wrestling tournament. 

The win came during the MSHSL Girls Section 1 and 2 Individual Tournament at Rochester Century High School. To qualify for the state tournament, wrestlers have to place in the top two of their weight class.

Results were as follows: 

100: Emilie Troster went 1-2, did not place

112: Maggie Olson went 4-0, first place

124: Micaiah Lenway went 3-2, fourth place

136: Aurora Helms-Hueper went 0-2, did not place

“We are very happy with all of our girls’ performances, and we are excited about the growth that our girls program underwent this past season,” said coach Tyler Vogt. 

Team sections will start on Thursday as Albert Lea Area will likely take on the winner of Rochester Mayo and Rochester Century.
