Bitter cold continues; coldest wind chills expected this morning

Residents will wake to the coldest wind chills of the the week Tuesday morning with wind chills at their coldest expected to reach 38 degrees below zero in Albert Lea.
The extreme cold warning continues until 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Temperatures early this morning will fall to 15 to 25 below, with some areas in central Minnesota possibly reaching -20. Combined with northwest winds of 5 to 10 mph, wind chills of 35 to 45 below zero are expected.
Conditions are expected to improve after sunrise, with significant improvement by 10 a.m.
Albert Lea will be under a cold weather advisory from 9 p.m. Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday as a wind chill of 32 below zero is expected.
The cold is expected to gradually ease after Wednesday, though there will be wind chills below zero through the end of the week.
