The Albert Lea Tribune is partnering with the History Center of Freeborn County on Thursday to host Brews & News.

We hope you will join us for this informal get-together to socialize, hear about newspaper happenings, have a chance at some prizes and even enjoy a drink if you choose.

The 112 on Broadway will be on hand with a cash bar, and we will have prizes to hand out to some lucky people in attendance.

Tribune Publisher Crystal Miller and Managing Editor Sarah Stultz will discuss the state of the newspaper and how the Tribune continues to serve the community today.

We will also talk about highlights from our recent Progress edition, which came out this last weekend, and the awards the Tribune recently obtained through the Minnesota Newspaper Association at the end of January.

There will be time for questions and news tips from those in attendance, and to top it off, you can get a first look at our March/April issue of Albert Lea Magazine.

We hope you will consider attending.

Local news has never been more important, and we hope you will join us in discussing how the community can sustain this valuable resource for years to come.

If you are unable to make it this time, we are planning a similar event in April — that time in the morning with coffee.

We hope you will come chat with us — and bring your ideas, too!
