Throughout the year, there are likely hundreds of events happening in our community — whether it be fundraisers, school events, church events, sporting events, concerts, plays, educational seminars or otherwise.

Though we would love to get out to all of them, oftentimes it is not physically possible for our staff of two in the newsroom to do so.

That’s where we hope you will partner with us to help us showcase your events or happenings.

Have an event you are putting on that you would like to promote ahead of time? Let us know what you have planned, and we’d love to let people know beforehand so they can attend.

Have an event happening that you would like us to cover? Let us know about it and we will do our best to come out.

But if we’re not able to attend, we hope you recognize that we still think your event is important, and we encourage you to submit photos or a small writeup of what took place so we can still share what happened with the community.

The same goes for businesses — whether they’re new, changing hands or closing, or whether there’s promotions of individuals or growth of services.

There’s a lot happening in the community, and we hope we can work together to help each other stay informed.
