LaVerne ‘Vern’ Hanson passed away unexpectedly, February 16, 2025, in Forest City, Iowa.

Friends may greet the family from 4-7:00 PM Friday February 21, 2025, at the Brick Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Road, Owatonna) and one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday February 22, at the Brick Meger Funeral Home.

Vern is survived by wife Lisa, of 42 years, children, Rev. Brandon (Becky), Andrew, Corey (Makala), Daniel (Abby), Patrick (Joy), Chloe (Micah) Peterson, Erik (Abbey), Micah (Julia); 18 grandchildren, with two on the way, mother, Janet; siblings, Annette (Mike) Schneckloth, Priscilla (Craig) Koeckeritz, Matthew (Brigett) Hanson.
