EN(dur)ANCE by Robin Gudal
Have you ever loved someone so much that it’s almost impossible to think of life before them? I was looking at cards for one of our foster kids, now an adult, recently, and I found the perfect one.
I have them so imbedded in my heart I often forget I entered their life later, not as a “wee little one.” A wave of sadness engulfed me. I wish I could have protected them from many of their hard knocks of life.
B.C.: Before Christ — this is used as a measurement of time but can also be an acronym for a past life, especially for those who have a radical “before Jesus” story.
“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17, KJV
What a gift that we can have an “after Jesus” redemption story!
“‘Behold, I am making all things new.’ Also, he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’” — Revelation 21:5b, ESV
Jesus loves you and wants to be in relationship with you, to redeem you, to see you walk forth in victory, freedom, joy, peace and contentment.
The Bible confirms he loves us:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16
I pray we are so in love with him that all we do flows from a heart seeking him.
“Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so… Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!” — Anna Bartlett Warner
As spring is upon us, it is the perfect season to fall in love with Jesus or renew your love for him.
Robin (Beckman) Gudal is intentional in life, a wife, momma, nana, friend and a flawed and imperfect follower of Jesus.
