Students recognized in creative writing contest

Albert Lea High School sophomores Hans Jeppson and Jaden Malkoski have been named finalists in the Top of Iowa High School Creative Writing Contest, recognizing their talent and dedication to the craft of writing. Their work — spanning poetry, stories and personal essays — has earned them a place among the region’s top young writers. The competition will conclude on March 6 at the Creative Writing Festival on the Waldorf University campus, where first-, second-, and third-place winners will be announced. In addition, Jeppson’s prose has been selected for publication in the online edition of the Waldorf Literary Review. Provided
