St. Patrick’s Day Party to support “Home on the Range Day”
Albert Lea Eagles Club FOE 2258 will host a St. Patrick’s Day celebration to support FOE Eagles Home on the Range, which helps youth who have experienced physical or emotional trauma. The event will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Albert Lea Eagles Club with meat packs and horse races. There will be drink specials and prizes for best Irish dress, and guests can vote for the best tasting ribs during the night’s rib cook-off. Bring Your Own Lunch and Learn: Garden Composting
This month’s Bring Your Own Lunch and Learn event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Albert Lea City Council Chambers. Learn about composting at home from master gardener Don Smith. This is a free community event and registration is not required.

Cardmaking at Memory Cafe
Create a unique greeting card to send to someone at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Albert Lea Senior Center. The event will be led by Karen Bell, and refreshments will be served. The project is designed to be accessible to people with any stage of memory loss as well as their family and friends. People do not need to be members of the Senior Center to participate.

Worth Brewing Company anniversary
Celebrate the 18th anniversary of Worth Brewing Company Saturday at the brewery. There will be beer and pizza available throughout the day. Musician Dave the Fish will play live from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will also be Girl Scouts selling cookies from noon to 7 p.m.

Big Island Rendezvous fundraiser
The Big Island Rendezvous Education Days fundraiser will take place Friday at American Legion Post 56, at 142 N. Broadway in Albert Lea. Social hour begins at 5 p.m, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 each or $150 for a table of six.
