A-C seventh graders win at Fairmont Classic

- The Alden Conger seventh grade boys' basketball team played in the Fairmont Classic on March 1 and came out champions. This marks the second tournament this team has won this season. The Knights played Marshall in the first game and won 30-16. Second, they played North Union and won 35-17. The championship game was versus St. Peter. The team won 44-26, allowing only four points in the second half. Leading scorers for the weekend were as follows: Ethan Bendickson, 38 points; Bennett Korman, 27 points; Trey Yost, 19 points; Preston Hendrickson, 15 points; Mason Brune, 4 points; Bennett Jacobs, 4 points; and Porter Anderson, 2 points. Michael Christensen had outstanding defense play. In all three games, the Knights displayed exceptional rebounding and lock down defense to secure the first-place honors. The team was coached by Ross Anderson and Matt Korman in the tournament.
