Barbara Cecile Anderson

Barbara Cecile Anderson passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 87. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Cecelia Johnson and her brothers, Charles and David Johnson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to all. Her love and respect for others was always evident.

Barbara grew up as a middle child with two brothers in the small town of Center City, Minnesota, and graduated from the Chisago Lakes High School. As a young woman, she worked as a legal secretary in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Berkley California.

Barbara married her childhood classmate and sweetheart, Paul Anderson on December 26, 1958. In later married life, she worked for State Farm Insurance in Albert, Lea, Minnesota for twenty years. Numerous time was volunteered to various church and other organizations during her tenure in Minnesota and later in Arkansas.

She was mother to Beth Marie Anderson who lives in Burnsville, Minnesota, and Mitchell Paul Anderson who lives in Houston, Texas. She has one grandson, Nels Danburg, who lives in Orlando, Florida.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Paul, of 66 years. From living in an upstairs apartment where the lamp shades shook every time a train went by to retiring and dividing their time between Hot Springs Village and their lake cabin in northern Wisconsin. A dream came true!

A memorial service will be held at Caruth Village Funeral Home in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Visitation at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association or charity of your choice.
