On Feb. 28, eight sixth-grade students from St. Casimir’s School in Wells attended the Southern Minnesota Regional Science Fair at Minnesota State University in Mankato.
These students spent the first two months of 2025 working hard and dedicating their time to executing science experiments. They went from hesitancy over their lack of experience to the epitome of grit and determination the day of the fair.
As a result of their unwavering effort, four of the students’ projects qualified for the state science fair: Clara Bushlack, Abigail Chirpich, Juliana Dulas and Lennox Feist.
The school issued a thanks to the parents who helped their children in any part of the process of making these projects a success and to the sixth-graders, who despite the nerves that come with such a big task, always demonstrated enthusiastic energy during the entirety of the experience, according to a press release.
