Orchid Quartet

Albert Lea Civic Music will host Los Angeles-based group Orchid Quartet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Albert Lea High School auditorium. The quartet consists of four highly skilled string players who perform and tour with top artists and regularly record for major record labels, video games and film/television soundtracks. Season tickets for Albert Lea Civic Music are $50 for adults, $15 for students and $105 for a family ticket.

Antique show and flea market

There will be an antique show and flea market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Skyline Plaza. There will be collectibles, spring decor, vintage goods, homemade goodies and more.

‘Girls just wanna have fun’ concert series

Two concerts are slated this week at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center celebrating ladies in music. The Ladies of Country concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and will feature fan-favorite country gals in character and costume. The Ladies of the ’80s show will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and will feature all genres of ’80s music. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone (service rates may apply), at the Albert Lea Convention & Visitors Bureau and at the box office.

Lake Mills Fireman’s Dance

There will be a fireman’s dance and breakfast benefiting the Lake Mills Fire Department on Saturday. The dance will begin at 6 p.m. at 5 Alarm Brewing Co. at 211 W. Main St. Live music will be provided by Will Barnett from 7 to 10 p.m. The breakfast will be from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire department at 406 W. Main St.

Myrtle Fire Department barbecue night

Everyone is invited to support the Myrtle Fire Department from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Glenville Legion Post 264 at 331 W. Main St in Glenville. The event will be a BBQ chicken and rib supper with food provided by Smokin’ Bros BBQ. Cost is $15 per plate, and proceeds will go to purchase medical supplies and equipment for the city’s first responders.
