The Albert Lea girls softball team hosted Mankato East as well as Northfield on Thursday at Hammer Complex.
The Tigers went the whole seven innings with defending state champs Mankato East, losing 7-1.
Leading the way offensively for the Tigers were senior Jenna Balfe and sophomore Maggie Olson with two hits apiece.
Seniors Nevaeh Wacholz and Mackenzie Johnson each recorded a hit as well for the Tigers.
Albert Lea dropped the second game of the night against Northfield 15-2.
Johnson, Olson and senior Hannah Schumacher each had two hits for the Tigers.
The Tigers are back in action Saturday as they host Winona at Hammer Complex.
First pitch is slated for noon.
