David H. Hanson

The memorial services for David Hanson will be held April 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Central Lutheran Church in Elk River, MN. Pastor Mike Mannisto will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the church.

Mr. Hanson died on at Guardian Angels Care Center in Elk River, Minnesota. He was 85.
David was born to Bob and Sarah Hanson in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1958 and then Austin Vocational School in 1961.

In 1961, he married Deloris Paulson, from Ellendale, Minnesota at the Clarks Grove Baptist church.

He was hired in the summer of 1961 by IBM in Chicago, Illinois as a Customer Engineer. He later went to Univac for a time and then was hired at Control Data Corporation, where he was a Customer Engineer. He was at Control Data for 27 years until 1989. After Control Data, he worked for and retired from Micro Control.

The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff at Guardian Angels Care Center, Elk River and Triniti Hospice for their compassionate care of David over the past two years.

David is survived by his wife, Deloris Hanson; two daughters, Lori (Scott) Peterson and Stacia (Brian) Potter; grandchildren, Andrea (Dan) Zerwas and Jordan Peterson; and great grandchildren Grant, Cora, Jullian, and Jameson. He is also survived by one sister Sandra (Gary) Roelofs, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Albert Lea, Minnesota at a later date.
