Douglas Willey

Douglas Eugene Willey, age 82, of Eden Prairie, passed away on April 21, 2025, from cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Gayle Willey. Doug grew up in Emmons, MN, served in the Army (awarded three medals), and obtained his MBA from St. Thomas University. In addition to his successful business career, he was a multi-talented artist painting ceramics, glazing pottery, sewing award winning quilts, and creating stained glass art. Cooking and baking were yet another forte; he delighted in sharing these creations with family and friends.

He was our rock. He was steadfast and strong. He was kind, gentle and humble. It was always about others, not himself. He was generous with his time, skills, and support. He  was always there for us. He was always up for fun. He is missed.

Memorial Service Monday, May 5 at 3:00 at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel, 5000 W. 50th St., at Hwy. 100, Edina. Reception immediately to follow. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation.  (alzheimersresearchfoundation.com)
