Project: The National TTT Society is a service organization with a goal to send six girls who have finished grade 4 for an experience at camp each year.
These girls are from one of the four Albert Lea elementary schools along with a rotation between Alden and Glenville-Emmons schools. Girls are selected by a school social worker. They may have experienced parents who are divorced, death in the family, poverty, abuse or other hardships.
Through the funds raised, TTT is able to supply each of the girls with clothes, shoes, toiletries, sleeping bags and anything they may need for camp.
This educational and recreational week provides these girls opportunities to build their self-esteem, improve their social skills, along with making new friends. The premise of the camp also works with conservation and caring for the environment.
Report: Without the funds received from the Freeborn County Communities Foundation Grant, TTT would not be able to give these young ladies such an amazing experience.
