The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office announced on its Facebook page that The Salvation Army will stay open during the storm for people in need of a place to shelter.

The address is 302 Court St. in Albert Lea.

Severe weather is expected to move into the area late afternoon into the evening, including hail, damaging winds and potential tornadoes.
