Which elementary school did you attend? Lakeview

Favorite teacher of all time and why? All of my history teachers in high school because they make learning about the subject both fun and interesting.

Favorite book/author: I have too many favorite books to list, but a recent favorite of mine is “Invisible Man” by Ralph Ellison. One of my favorite authors is Franz Kafka.

Current/past activities, volunteer work and accomplishments: I am in the school band, a member of National Honor Society, a guest columnist for the school newspaper and a volunteer for the Freeborn County History Museum. Recent accomplishments I’ve had are winning two superior ratings at this year’s solo/ensemble contest, a short story I’ve written getting accepted into the school’s art magazine and performing at the talent show.

What do you want to do after high school? I want to go to college and study to become an archaeologist and historian.

What advice would you give to younger students in Albert Lea? Put yourself out there and try new things, even if you are nervous. It can allow for new experiences and opportunities you wouldn’t have had otherwise.
