Outbreak of severe storms possible Monday

The National Weather Service is asking residents to monitor the forecast in the next few days as there is a likelihood for severe weather on Monday.

According to the weather agency, several rounds of severe storms capable of large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes are possible.

The exact timing and location remain uncertain.

The Weather Service states storms are expected to increase in coverage Sunday night, and by Monday, the atmosphere will become supportive of severe weather.

Multiple rounds of storms are possible all day and into the evening. Strong tornadoes can’t be ruled out either, especially across southern and eastern Minnesota into Wisconsin, it states.
