A.L. sees five 1st-place finishes in triangular

The Albert Lea boys’ varsity track and field team finished in third place Tuesday in a triangular against Mankato West and Northfield at the Albert Lea Jim Gustafson Field.
Mankato West finished with 79.5 points, followed by Northfield High school at 53.5 points. The Albert Lea team ended the meet with 50 points.

The highlights were as follows:

First-place finishes

  • Aiden Boss finished first in the 400m dash with a time of 53.49.
  • Andrew Tscholl finished first in the 1600m run with a time of 4:36.95.
  • Axel Calderon finished first in the 3200m run with a time of 11:36.03.
  • The 4x200m relay team of Jayson Mikels, Jaxson Sarget, Cyrus Schmidt and Carsen Gardner finished first with a time of 1:39.11.
  • Charlie Irvine finished first in the triple jump with a jump of 40-0.

Second-place finishes

  • Isaiah Andersen-Pitchford finished second in the 100m dash with a time of 11.82.
  • Tscholl finished second in the 800m run with a time of 2:05.36.

Third-place finishes

  • Irvine finished third in the 300m Hurdles with a time of 43.34.
  • Boss finished third in the high jump with a jump of 5-4.
  • Tigus Hartman finished third in the pole vault with a vault of 10-6.
  • Irvine finished third in the long jump with a jump of 20-3.5.

Fourth-place finishes

  • Boss finished fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 23.87.
  • Irvine finished fourth in the 110m Hurdles with a time of 17.09.
