People are going ballistic over President Trump’s tariff policies. True, it was fast, widespread and unfamiliar to most of us, but if people would simply let the dust settle before they become unhinged, they might see things more clearly. A close friend of mine has enjoyed driving a luxury foreign-made car for a long time, trading every few years for the same make and model. It’s now time for a new car, but she worried about how the tariffs would increase the price of her imported vehicle. After soul-searching, checking with dealerships and much research she … bought American! She now has a beautiful, luxury car made in this country and all because of the tariff she wanted to avoid — logically. That’s the way it will work in the long run, people! It’s happening right here, right now. American goods; American jobs; Americans supporting our country.
