The Minnesota Star Tribune will host a discussion event called Minnesota Matters from 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Wedgewood Cove Golf Club, 2200 W. Ninth St. in Albert Lea.
The news organization is visiting communities across the state in May as part of the tour. Each stop includes conversation on topics of interest to that community.
In Albert Lea, leaders in the community will meet for a panel discussion and Q&A on how Blue Zones has influenced aging and wellness in the community.
The event panelists will be Cathy Malakowsky, Blue Zones coordinator, and Jean Eaton, former chairwoman of the Southwestern Minnesota Area Agency on Aging.
Minnesota Star Tribune business reporter Jeremy Olson will moderate.
Light food and beverages will be provided.
