The Friends of the Albert Lea Public Library board recently put on their spring book sale. Thanks to all of you, it was very successful. It offered three days of shopping for various treasures, from children’s books to adult’s. Hundreds of books found new homes, and we are most grateful for that. On Saturday, we once again were fortunate to have a group of veterans pick up any unsold books and deliver them to the DAV in the Twin Cities. Proceeds from that go back to the veterans. We thank these veterans for their help and for their service to our country. To all library personnel, board members and our bookstore volunteers, thank you for an outstanding job! Hope to see all of you at the next book sale this coming fall.
