Kiester will celebrate its 125th anniversary this weekend with a festival for all ages.

Kiester Days kicks off Thursday with an ice cream social sponsored by the Kiester Historical Society.

On Friday, events include a kiddie parade; community meal; a car, truck and motorcycle show; and a cribbage tournament, among other events.

On Saturday, there will be a co-ed volleyball tournament; a crafter, vendor and farmers market; a horseshoe tournament; a parade and a street dance. Grand marshals will be all alumni and teachers.

Events wrap up on Sunday with a brunch and community church service.

A Kiester Days fundraiser includes a raffle at $1 each or six for $5. Prizes include $125 cash, a Kiester gift basket, two meat bundles, Kiester prints and a Kiester Afghan made in 2000.

Thursday

• 5 to 7 p.m.: Ice cream social sponsored by the Kiester Historical Society at the community center

Friday

• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Global Innovations Bank open house
• 4:30 p.m.: Kiddie parade at City Park
• 5 to 7 p.m.: Kiester Historical Society Museum open
• 5 to 7 p.m.: Community meal sponsored by Gold Eagle Co-op at the old John Deere building east of town
• 5 to 7 p.m.: Car, truck and motorcycle show on Center Street in front of Kee Town & Country Centre
• 7 p.m.: Benny Scherb Memorial Cribbage Tournament at the Kiester American Legion
• 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.: Dan Penny Band at Forever Bermas

Saturday

• 9 a.m.: Co-ed volleyball tournament at City Park
• 10 a.m. to noon: Crafter/vendor and farmers market at Kee Town & Country Centre front lawn
• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Kiester Historical Society Museum open
• 10 a.m.: Glen Fure Memorial Horsehoe Tournament
• 10:30 a.m.: Joy & Tears in Apron Springs program by Yvonne Cory at Kee Theatre
• 1 p.m.: Bags tournament at Forever Bermas
• 1 to 3 p.m.: Penny family performs at Kee Theatre
• 3 p.m.: Parade
