Remember the 1980s Cindy Lauper song, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”? Well Democrats sometimes feel that way, too.

We have been busy organizing and working against the Trump administration’s actions, but sometimes we have to make time for fun, too.

So, with that in mind, please come join us at our Freeborn County DFL Picnic at Pioneer Park (West Hawthorne Street, Albert Lea) at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Our state auditor, Julie Blaha, will be our keynote speaker, along with speaker Angie Hanson (running for State Senate 23). Jake Johnson has been invited (running for 1st District Congress).

The picnic is free to the public, but folks are asked to bring a dish to pass. Beverages, plates and utensils will be provided.

Good food, good company, good conversation. Let’s have some fun.
