Democrats keep complaining that Trump’s plan is to provide tax breaks for the billionaire class. The accusation is pure hogwash. I have asked this question many times and never found a Democrat willing to answer it, “How much should one’s fair share be?” The Democrats seem to forget that a large percentage of the billionaire class are Democrats. The Democrats have already provided all the tax loopholes the billionaire class needs.

Let’s look at the facts. The top 1% of wage earners pay 40.4% of federal income taxes. The top 5% pay 61%. The top 50% pay 97%. That means the bottom half of all wage earners only pay 3% of the federal tax bill. Is that their fair share? Shouldn’t everyone have some skin in the game?

I support a work requirement for all able bodied citizens. Why should I pay someone’s medical insurance and welfare because they are too lazy to work. My wife and I got married at 18. Never went to college. Worked 60 to 70 hours a week until we retired at age. No one gave us a dime. We started with nothing, gambled everything several times and were reasonably successful. Hard work coupled with common sense pays off.

Minnesota’s welfare system is one of the most lucrative in the country. Is it any wonder we have so many free loaders? I would like someone to answer the following question.

What is the cash equivalent of the benefits available to a single woman with two children taking full advantage of Minnesota’s welfare programs? I have never found a Democrat willing to answer that question.

I have met people who refused to accept jobs because Minnesota’s Medicaid and Social Welfare payments are so lucrative. We owned restaurants for 40 years. I was cursed at multiple times because I refused to sign a statement stating an individual had applied for work. I would mention that we had several positions open. The response was always the same “I don’t want a job until my unemployment runs out.” I am sorry, but I have no time for free loaders scamming the system.

Am I cold and callous for not wanting to pay to provide shelter, food, medical care and schooling for those who invaded America while we have homeless veterans living on the street? I think not!

You can thank Trump for the multitude of foreign entities that have committed to locating new companies in America. Trump’s proposed tariff’s on goods produced overseas and lower corporate taxes on goods produced in America will create jobs.

The vast majority of government workers being terminated by the Trump administration are redundant, system scammers, deadwood or outright thieves. With all the new companies coming to America, there will be plenty of job openings, but you will have to work instead of lolly gagging on the couch playing video games.

The government should not be in the business of providing quality of life for the able bodied.
