Lois Ann (Van Buskirk) Thiele

Lois Ann (Van Buskirk) Thiele, age 81, of Albert Lea MN passed away on Thursday, June 5th, five weeks after a blood clot caused a devastating stroke.

Lois was born on September 10th 1943 in Huron, South Dakota. She was the oldest of five children born to Malcom & Edna Van Buskirk. She spent her early life on a farmstead outside of Hitchcock, South Dakota where she learned lifelong lessons like how to saddle and ride a horse, how to bake bread from scratch and how to help anyone in need. She loved to read, garden and crochet, but her biggest joy came from her 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Lois is proceeded in death by her parents Malcom and Edna Van Buskirk; her brother Roger Van Buskirk; her sister Elaine DuFault; her daughter-in-law Cyndi Thiele; and her great grandson William Carl Johnson.

 Lois is survived by Children: Dennis Thiele, Julie Thiele, Patricia Thiele, Tammy Thiele, and Thomas (Tiona) Thiele; her 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

 Lois will be missed by so many. She made sure her home was always open to people in need of a meal, a place to stay or a few hours, or for some company. A memorial service honoring Lois’ life will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 12th at Bonnerup Funeral and Cremation Service in Albert Lea, with a visitation beginning one hour prior.
