Man injured in crash on I-90 in Albert Lea

A 24-year-old man was injured Friday night after a vehicle went off the road and crashed on Interstate 90 in Freeborn County. 

Derek Michael Glaser of Rochester was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. 

The crash report stated Glaser was driving a 2010 Jeep Wrangler westbound on Interstate 90 near mile marker 157 in Albert Lea when the Jeep left the roadway and crashed.

The crash occurred at 8:59 p.m. The roadways were listed as dry at the time of the crash. 

Glaser was wearing his seat belt, and alcohol was not a factor. 

Mayo Clinic Ambulance, Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Manchester Fire Department and Albert Lea Fire Rescue assisted at the scene.
