Sharon Hansen, 86, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 due to complications of a fall. A funeral service was held at 1pm on Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Cross of Glory Church in Hartland, MN. A visitation was held an hour prior to the service. Pastor Marcia Pederson officiated.

Sharon was born on October 18, 1938 to Harvey and Helen Paulson in Albert Lea, MN.  Growing up in Albert Lea, she graduated from Albert Lea High School.  She met Gary Hansen, and they were married on August 9, 1958 in Nashua, Iowa.  She was an active member of the Cross of Glory Church, being a charter member of the Rachel group, and a member of the ALCW.

In her free time, Sharon enjoyed dancing, playing dominos, singing, making ceramics, and traveling.  She greatly enjoyed going out to have coffee and visiting with her wide social circle of friends. Sharon was dedicated to her family and was actively involved in their lives.  She enjoyed any family get-togethers, especially if there was ice cream.

Sharon is lovingly remembered by her children Lori (Sue) Hansen and Jeff (Becky) Hansen.  Granchildren Kristi Hansen, Andrew (Alyssa) Hansen, Erik (Wendy) Hansen, and Michael (Jaime) Hansen.  Sisters Constance Navratil, Pamela (Jeff) Millen; sisters-in-law Cheryl Peterson and Shirley Hansen.  Six great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband Gary Hansen, parents Harvey and Helen Paulson.  In-laws Reuben and Shirley Hansen; brothers-in-law Bob Navratil, Donald Peterson, and Tyler Hansen.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Cross of Glory Lutheran Church or St. John’s Fountain View Retirement Center to expand their music program preferred.
