Lou-Rich began its 30th anniversary celebration with a special breakfast for all employees Wednesday. The breakfast, followed by cake and root beer in the afternoon, was organized to celebrate the past, present and future of the company.

Lou-Rich began its life as a tool and die and repair shop located in Hayward, where Louie Larson and Richard Ackland opened for business on March 6, 1972. Since that beginning, the company has thrived, expanding its operations to Albert Lea and then also to Brandon, South Dakota.

More recently Lou-Rich acquired KleenTec, Inc, another Albert Lea manufacturer and purchased the rights to market, manufacture and sell equipment used to produce wall panels for the construction industry.

The anniversary celebration will culminate in an open house for the community this summer.
