Do you know an inspiring family whose home desperately needs to be rebuilt? ABC 6 News announces that “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is seeking nominations for deserving families in southern Minnesota. Producers of the Emmy award winning ABC program are searching for deserving families who have amazing strength of character and put their own needs aside to help others.

A family must own their own single family home and be able to show producers how a makeover will make a huge difference in their lives to be eligible for consideration. Interested families or community members who wish to nominate a family must e-mail a short description of the family’s story to “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” by the Feb. 28 deadline. Go to abc.go.com/shows/extreme-makeover-home-edition/apply for complete nomination details.

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” wants to bring their famous bus and crew led by Ty Pennington back to southern Minnesota. Supervising Casting Director Adam Drucker says “There are a lot of people who are heroes to those around them because of the way they inspire others and quietly serve their communities on a daily basis. We really want to help families whose homes present major problems, big issues that affect the family’s quality of life on a daily basis. We want to find those deserving people who just don’t have the resources, ability, or time to fix those serious issues without our help.”
