Anti-abortion students withdraw Minn. school suitPublished 1:26pm Saturday, June 4, 2011
MINNEAPOLIS — A student group that opposes abortion has withdrawn its lawsuit against a school district northwest of the Twin Cities.
The group, All Life Is Valuable, claimed it was denied the same rights as other clubs. But the St. Michael-Albertville district contends the group was allowed to meet at school.
Attorneys for the Alliance Defense Fund filed the lawsuit on behalf of the group in federal court in April. The lawsuit alleged the high school denied the club the same benefits and access it provides to other groups.
