I would like to thank Lou-Rich and its employees for purchasing and installing a new pedestrian crossing signal and LED lights in their intersection. These individuals work with city and government leaders to find a solution to an unsafe crosswalk, and their efforts are to be applauded. Through cooperative efforts and expense on the part of Lou-Rich, a little piece of Albert Lea is now safer for everyone. I, for one, am grateful and thank them for their kindness and generosity to the community.

I am a small business owner and friend of Roland Petersen, who was killed in the intersection a year ago.
