Red Cross Babysitter Training will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Freeborn County Chapter of the Red Cross. A generous grant from the United Way of Freeborn County enables residents of Freeborn County to receive this free training by simply making a contribution of any amount to the American Red Cross.

Class size is limited, and another session is scheduled Saturday, June 2. The class normally costs $85. Register now by contacting Chris Avery at the Freeborn County Red Cross at 373-4544.

For more than 30 years Red Cross Babysitter Training has provided participants aged 11-15 with confidence to make smart decisions and stay safe in any babysitting situation. Students learn many valuable skills such as how to supervise children and infants, identifying safety hazards, handling bedtime and discipline issues, how to find and interview for babysitting jobs and much more.
