Carlie Wagner qualified in the high jump with a distance of 5 feet, 5 inches and also qualified in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.80 seconds.

TJ Schiltz qualified for state in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 9 minutes, 58.18 seconds.

“He ran such a smart race,” Panthers coach Duey Ferber said. “His hard work and dedication all led up to today’s race.”

According to Ferber, Danielle Krueger had a shot to go to state in the 400-meter dash, but a pulled hamstring during the race prevented her from advancing.

“It was not the way she wanted to end her career,” Ferber said.

Ferber said all of the kids performed well at the meet and some were just shy of their goals and others set personal records.

The state track and field will take place on Friday and Saturday at Hamline University in St. Paul.
