MINNEAPOLIS – United South Central’s Claire Christian will advance in the consolation rounds of the Minnesota State High School League’s state tennis tournament for Class A at the Reed-Sweatt Family Tennis Center in Minneapolis.
Christian lost in the first round to Jessamy Jones of East Grand Forks 6-2, 6-2. In her second match on Thursday, she faced Ellen Stensrud of Minnewaska Area and won 6-2, 6-0.
Christian will be in action again 8 a.m. Friday against Eva Sullivan of Providence Academy.
