Minnesota First District Veterans of Foreign Wars and its Ladies Auxiliary held its fall meeting in Spring Valley at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 6 hosted by VFW Post No. 4114 and its Ladies Auxiliary.

First District VFW Commander Curt Wiebusch of Zumbro Falls and First District VFW Ladies Auxiliary president Sondra Rowe of Owatonna presided over the meetings.

Ladies Auxiliary members planned to meet at the Spring Valley High School, 705 N. Section Ave. with VFW members meeting at the Spring Valley VFW.

Schools of instruction were focused on youth activities as well as Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen. Past department and past district presidents were planned to be honored at the auxiliary meeting.

Meetings will conclude around noon with lunch served at the Spring Valley VFW.

All those chairpersons unable to attend, should have mailed their program material to the auxiliary district secretary prior to this meeting. It was encouraged that all 1st District VFW Post and Auxiliaries be in attendance to receive information on all programs.
