Salem Lutheran Church in Albert Lea will host three Advent recitals beginning Tuesday at 12:15 p.m.

Robert Tewes, director of music at Grace Lutheran Church of Albert Lea, will be the first guest organist.

Gail Thurnau, organist at Christ Episcopal Church and Ascension Lutheran Church, will be the organist on Dec. 11. Eileen Nelson Ness, organist at Salem Lutheran Church, will finish the series on Dec. 18.

The recitals begin at 12:15 p.m. and will run about a half hour in length. Advent recitals such as these will be played all over the country as part of the American Guild of Organists activities. Music will primarily reflect the Advent and Christmas themes. An offering will be taken. Salem Lutheran is at 115 N. Washington Ave. and is a handicapped accessible building. These concerts are open to the public. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee and listen to some wonderful Advent and Christmas organ music.
