In celebration of the 40th year of the Cantori, a new choral work was commissioned by the Cantori for this concert. This will be the second choral work the Cantori commissioned this season. “When the Stars of Morning Sang” was written by Robert Tewes, music director at Grace Lutheran Church of Albert Lea.

There will be several other Christmas carols sung by the choir including “He is Born,” “In Dulci Jubilo,” “I Saw Three Ships” and “My Heart Rejoices” featuring members of the Grace Lutheran Handbell Choir. Accompanist for the Cantori is Gail Thurnau on organ and piano. Eileen Nelson Ness is the director.

This concert is free and open to the public. An offering will be taken with proceeds given to the local food shelf.
