Humane Society to host emergency cat adoption eventPublished 9:25am Wednesday, November 14, 2012
The Freeborn County Humane Society will have an emergency cat adoption event this weekend at the Albert Lea Animal Shelter, 101 James Ave.
Adoption fees for all cats and kittens will be $5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Humane Society has been taking cats and kittens into the shelter at record numbers, according to a news release. With winter on its way, the organization is hoping to have some cage space available for the strays that will be coming in.
“Please come down and give one of our great cats or kittens a home and help us make room for the strays that will need to come in when the weather turns cold,” the release states.
