For the first time in three years, members of the Minnesota Wild will stop in Albert Lea to meet their fans.

The visit — today from noon to 1 p.m. in the lobby of Albert Lea’s City Arena — is part of the Minnesota Wild Road Tour, an event that visits 18 cities in three states.

Albert Lea is on the third leg of the tour. Players at the rink will be defenseman Clayton Stoner and goalie Darcy Kuemper. Minnesota Wild radio analyst Tom Reid will also be in attendance.

“The kids love to see the players, and it’s a great way to promote youth hockey,” said Ed Pomerson of the Albert Lea Hockey Association. “The players will be able to take pictures, and there will be Wild memorabilia available to purchase and have the players sign.”

The event in Albert Lea is sponsored by the Albert Lea Hockey Association.

The first 100 fans at each location will receive a 2013 Wells Fargo Minnesota Wild Road Tour pin.
