Woman arrested for DWI

Albert Lea police arrested Judith Ann Murphy, 68, for driving while intoxicated after receiving a report of a careless driving complaint of a silver Grand Prix near the intersection of Madison Avenue and West Seventh Street, according to reports. Police found the car at the intersection of First Avenue and Main Street.

 

License plate taken

The front license plate was reported taken off of a vehicle at 720 Fountain St. at 5:38 p.m. Sunday, according to police.

 

Window broken out

A window was reported broken out of a Crest Services vehicle at 9:17 p.m. Sunday at 617 E. 10th St., according to police.

 

Man cited for assault

Albert Lea police cited Mark David Heimsness for fifth-degree assault at 11:24 p.m. Sunday after receiving a report an incident at 500 Garfield Ave. Heimsness reportedly took off running and was later found by police.

 

Injury crash reported

An crash with injuries was reported on Interstate 35 near mile marker 9 at 6:51 p.m. Saturday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s Office logs stated the Minnesota State Patrol was in charge of writing the report. Nothing was available on the State Patrol media website as of this morning.

 

Man cited for marijuana

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited Geoffrey Neal Matson for possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 10:14 p.m. Saturday at Harmony Park, 79503 298th St., according to reports.

 

Bar broken into

The vacant bar at 1119 S. Broadway was reported broken into at 2:39 p.m. Sunday, according to police. Several items were stolen.

 

Burglary reported

A burglary was reported at 78767 Freeborn County Road 46 at 9:03 p.m. Sunday, according to police. The incident reportedly took place a few weeks prior.

 

Vehicle damaged

Damage was reported to a vehicle at 9:38 a.m. Friday at 1702 Sunset St., according to police.
