A 32-year-old Albert Lea man was injured Tuesday afternoon after he reportedly ran off the road in his motorcycle on Interstate 90 near Hayward.

Eric Eugene Mickelson was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. His injuries were not life-threatening, and Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office logs indicated he had a possible broken leg.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Mickelson was traveling westbound on I-90 on a 2007 Honda motorcycle when he lost control, went off the road and came to a rest in the ditch near milepost 166.

The crash took place at 4:53 p.m. Mickelson was wearing a helmet.
