Woman injured in crash

A 22-year-old Fort Dodge, Iowa, woman was injured Sunday afternoon after a vehicle reportedly sideswiped a guardrail on Interstate 90 near the interchange with Interstate 35.

Andrea T. Fors was transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The report states Fors was traveling eastbound on I-90 in a 2008 Nissan Sentra when she reportedly collided with a guardrail while trying to avoid a collision with a 1992 GMC Topkick that was also traveling eastbound.

Fors’ passenger, Kyle D. Myers, 20, of Spring Lake Park was not injured.

The crash took place at 4 p.m.

Both Fors and Myers were wearing their seat belts.
